Tokyo 2021 Paralympics: Archery Schedule & Fixture

Archery competition first appeared in Summer Paralympics in 1960. This sport happens in individual and team events from men’s & women’s. Archers are classified according to the extent of their disability, with separate individual events for each of three classes.

Live Broadcasting TV Channels

  • W1 – Wheelchair and Cerebral Palsy athletes with impairment in all four limbs
  • W2 – Wheelchair users with full arm function.
  • W3 – Standing athletes in Amputee, Les Autres and Cerebral Palsy categories. Some athletes in the standing group will sit on a high stool for support but will still have their feet touching the ground.

The Tokyo 2020 Summer Paralympics will be started from 24th August to 5th September 2021.

In Rio 2016 Paralympics, Great Britain won the 3 gold medals, China also got the 3 gold medals and Iran won 2 gold medals in the Archery competition.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Archery sports competition at the Tokyo 2020 Summer Paralympics was rescheduled for 2020 to 2021. This will be started from 27th August to 4th August 2021 at Yumenoshima Park Archery Field.

Archery Medal Table at Paralympic Games

In the archery competition’s medal table at Paralympics, you can see Great Britain was the heights ranked till now with 20 gold medals, 24 silver medals and 22 bronze medals. Next in 2nd position – United States won 19 gold medals, 8 silver medals and 16 bronze medals. In the third position, South Korea won 16 gold medals, 11 silver medals and 16 bronze medals.
