Since the 1964 Winter Olympics, this Luge sports competition has been organized in every Winter Olympics. There have 4 events (1 man, 1 open, 1 woman & 1 mixed). At that 1st Luge competition, There were two athletes (Klaus Bonsack & Thomas Köhler) who won their 1st gold medals. Germany headed the top #1 on the medal table ranking with 18 gold medals, 10 silver medals, and 9 bronze medals in this Luge sport.

Luge Sports Schedule, Fixture & Calendar – 2022 Winter Olympics

If you are a Luge sports fan, you must be known that coming this month – the 2022 Winter Olympics will be held in Beijing, China. And the Luge sport will be scheduled from 4th to 10th February at Xiaohaituo Bobsleigh and Luge Track.

At this tournament, a total of 106 athletes (71 men & 35 women) will be attended with maintaining the COVID-19 protocol. The sport is usually contested on a specially designed ice track that allows gravity to increase the sled’s speed. The winner normally completes the route with the fastest overall time.
