The Seoul 1988 Summer Olympic Games was held from 17th September to 2nd October in Seoul, South Korea. With the 8,391 Athletes in 23 sports with 237 events participated from 159 nations on that season. The grand opening ceremony Inaugurated by President Roh Tae-woo.
North Korea boycotted as well as Cuba, Ethiopia, Albania and Seychelles didn’t respond the IOC’s invitations. In that season, six sports were demonstrated for the first time. Those were –

- Baseball,
- Bowling,
- Judo,
- Taekwondo,
- Wheelchair racing.
Hodori was the official mascot for the Seoul 1988 Summer Olympic Games, and it was designed by Kim Hyun. That was the symbolic portraying of friendly and hospitality of the Korean traditions.
NBC was the official broadcasting partner from the United States. From their live telecasting service, fans and supporters enjoyed that season very much.

Team Sports Result at the Seoul 1988 Olympic Games
From the football sport, the Soviet Union was the champion – on the other hand, Brazil was the runners-up team and West Germany took the third place.
