Toronto FC is a professional soccer team based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The club was established in 2005 as an expansion team of the Major League Soccer (MLS) and began to play in 2007.
They are the first Canadian team to compete in MLS from Eastern Conference, and their first season saw them make it to the MLS Cup playoffs, where they lost to Houston Dynamo in the semi-finals.
