Jacob deGrom’s MLB Draft, Career & Contracts
Though he was selected by the NY Mets in the 2010 MLB draft, but he made his first debut MLB game on May 15, 2014. That season, deGrom achieved the National League’s (NL) Rookie of the Month twice, and the NL Rookie of the Year.
Before he started his college career at Calvary Christian Academy in Ormond Beach, Florida. As a basketball player, he was voted the District 9 Class 1A player of the year by the Florida Athletic Coaches Association and selected to the all-state third team for Class 1A.
